Maiden Shade Disc Golf Course

Our course has 21 holes laid out on a pristine piece of our property adorned with beautifully aged Burr Oak trees.

A $5 usage fee (with or without your own golf discs ).
Swimming is available to paid golfers only, at a visitor discount fee of $4.00 (Mon-Thurs. only) 2 hr maximum swim.

Swimming Pool Pool
Pool Patio

Our swimming pool is opened from late May through September and is free of charge to all campers. Pool hours vary daily. Shower and changing facilities are available. No life guard, so children 13 and under MUST have an adult in the pool area with them at all times. - Absolutely NO Food or Beverage are allowed within the fenced in area of the pool.

We have a very nice covered patio adjacent to the pool for all your snacking, drinking and picnicking pleasures.

Basketball, Volleyball, ...
We have a basketball court, beach sand volleyball, as well as tetherball and regulation size horseshoes. All equipment necessary to play is available for you on request.

To ensure your children's safety while playing at our playgrounds please be attentive to your kids and their surroundings.   We have two large playground areas, complete with play sand, swings, 2 jungle gyms, merry-go-round, small children slide, climbing boxes, a giant play camper and a real boat filled with sand. Comfortable benches are in the play area for anyone to relax while the children play.

Fishing, Canoeing

We are located on the beautiful Cannon River. Great for fishing, launching your canoe or kyak, or just relaxing. So bring your OWN canoe and your own fishing pole and enjoy this scenic rivers beauty.

Miniature Golf

Try your luck at a round of miniature golf. Our course is not the typical mini golf. you will have to work hard to get a hole in one here. The Shoe Trap and the Junk Yard Dogs as well as the Land of Frogs will challenge even the best of mini golfers as well as beginners.

A round of mini Golf is available for a $3.00 fee.

Biking Trails

Camp Maiden Rock is located directly adjacent to the paved scenic 39 mile long Sakatah State Hiking & Biking Trail. It takes you through southern minnesota's beautiful lake region and the back to nature upper Cannon River Valley. So come enjoy a bike ride on our trails or the beautiful state trail.

 

Nature Hikes/Bridge

The railroad trestle bridge is a historic piece of our camp. Now being part of the Sakatah bike trail it connects the West side camp to the East. It is a part of the railroad history of Minnesota, you can take a romantic stroll on it across the Cannon River, and its a favorite fishing spot. Young and old will marvel at its stone and wood construction its massiveness and its peaceful beauty.
